Pre assembled glass block panels available in two finishes. The preferred method is assembled with White Type-S Mortar. Type-S Mortar is known for its superior durability, strength, and water resistance. Mortar cement also acts as a cushion between the individual glass block. It keeps the individual units from coming in contact with each other causing tension damage {Broken Blocks.}. Another good thing about Mortared panels is if you do get a broken block for what ever reason you can replace the broken block with out having to replace the whole window. Not to mention when you put a glass block window together with mortar cement it will live up to its fire rating. Most building products are fire rated and have an expected life span as to witch you can count on the product holding up in the case of a Fire. There are many other reasons why I chose mortar over silicone and in my professional opinion you just can’t get these types of strengths from the glued together windows.
